Ferry & Sailing Delays
We hold direct relationships with CalMac management and on-the-ground contacts at Kennacraig and port operations, so we know about disruption before it becomes a problem and reroute or rebook immediately.
Carrying The Spirit Of Scotland
From single pallets to full distillery contracts. Specialists in Islay, Jura and Scottish whisky logistics.
Island depots, daily groupage, general haulage and bulk spirit logistics across Scotland and the islands.
Licensed, certified and trusted by Scotland's leading distilleries.
When logistics fails, distilleries stop, relationships suffer and reputations take the hit.
A haulier without regional knowledge, the right accreditations or island infrastructure cannot protect your supply chain when it matters most.
Ferry delays and missed sailings ripple directly into distillery production schedules, leaving spirit stranded in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Contaminated or uncertified trailers risk rejecting an entire load, triggering costly rework, compliance failures and strained relationships.
Poor documentation on ADR loads causes bond delays, port refusals and audit failures that put your supply chain approval at risk.
Local knowledge, direct relationships and using modern & traditional systems mean we handle it before it reaches you.

With a depot and staff permanently based on Islay, we have eyes, ears and boots on the ground, feeding real-time information back so nothing on the island catches us off guard.
Our ADR certified, TASCC and FIAS accredited fleet means every tanker, every cask movement and every bulk load meets the standard required, first time, every time, without compromise.
We pick up the phone. With foreman mobiles, control room numbers, on-site staff and Samsara live tracking, your team has the right information at the right time, always.
In island logistics, one wrong move causes headaches. It stops projects, slows productivity and lands your business or project with added costs and reputational damage you didn't see coming.
A haulier without MCA-compliant trailers or correct lashing eyes won't get near a distillery site, or a ferry ramp. A tanker with the wrong fittings means a rejected load, not a delayed one.
Distilleries run ahead of and behind schedule; when production windows shift, your logistics partner needs to move with them.
Island construction projects get replanned around the weather, Islay experiences high winds on over 90 days per year, and when gusts ground crane lifts, every delivery in the chain has to flex.
Island businesses know which hauliers show up and which don't. Choosing Mundell's tells your stakeholders you've made the right call before we've turned a wheel.
We're not the biggest haulier in Scotland. But for bulk spirit, island logistics and everything in between, we know of none better placed.

Our current vacancies are listed on Indeed and updated whenever we post new roles.
We lift cargo earlier than required and stage it at our Tarbert depot or on-island facility at Port Askaig so it is already in position when you need it. We carry additional weekly sailing slots as a buffer, and keep spare equipment, including empty tankers, permanently on Islay so we can react immediately without waiting for the next available crossing.
Every spirit tanker is ADR certified and FIAS accredited. We provide full last three loads documentation as standard on every movement, ensuring your intake team and compliance managers have everything they need before the tanker arrives at your site. For bulk grain and tipper movements, we are fully TASCC certified. If your site has specific additional requirements, we meet them before the first load moves.
Every tipper and bulk grain movement operates under full TASCC certification. We provide complete last three loads documentation as standard on every movement, giving your intake and quality teams full visibility of what the vehicle has previously carried before it arrives on site. If your maltings or distillery has specific intake requirements, we confirm compliance before the first load moves, not after.
